A simply awesome Sunday.
Today, has just been such a good day. I woke up to my house smelling of delicious home made food, to be eaten after (what always seems like) our long fast during church. I had a smile on my face, and decided to gladly help finish the soup when asked, instead of complain. I went to church to find out that basically the whole Young Women's presidency and leadership was being changed around. And as much as I always claimed to not like my leaders, or want to go to activities, I was kind of sad to hear them being released. I had a more positive than usual attitude about class and our lesson, and I was actually looking forward to the lesson in Young Women's. The lesson was on talents. I simply adored it. I learned about some talents the younger girls have, and of talents one of the girls my age has. It is so astounding the amount of talents the Lord blesses us with. Some come so easily that we don't recognize them as talents, others we work to develop and become proud of ourselves when we finally feel we have accomplished the talent. I love that. After that we had a testimony meeting, and I don't think I have ever felt to pushed to share mine by the spirit. So, since there is a first time for everything, I stood and shared all the feelings I usually keep quiet to all of those girls. And it felt good. Even though I cried, it was a great feeling. After that I had a meeting with my Bishop and those just get better and better with each meeting. I really am growing to love that guy and all he does for each member of my ward. I came home from that and had a nice family dinner with my sister and her husband, because those are always fun. Then my family watched the First Presidency's Christmas Devotional. It was wonderful. Those men are truly men of God and I absolutely love hearing them speak. Today, I have just been flowing over with the spirit, as I hope those around me have too. This is such a true church, and I love the opportunity I've had to be raised knowing the truth. I hope everyone has had as good of a day as I've had!
